The final part of the planning was to create an list of assets to be sourced and an explanation of the legal minefield that I would face in producing a animation and what protections copyright law affords me.
Asset List
- Voice over
- Vector Graphic from Pixabay
- Creation of my own backgrounds for each scene using Adobe Illustrator
- Blog
- PowerPoint planning
- Narrative
- Code for Action Script 3
- References for planning and production of the animation can be found on my references.docx file
Legal
To ensure my Animation is legally sound and safe to create and share I will:
- ensure all images and vector graphics I use within the animation are fully licensable and I have given credit where necessary
- the voice over narration I produce will be voiced by myself or friends that I will get written permission off to use their voice in my work
To again ensure I keep my work legally sound I will not;
- use any images I do not hold a licence for or are copyright protected
- add music or voices from existing media that I have not obtained explicit permission to use or have gained a licence to use
In the United Kingdom when you create a piece of work it automatically get copy right protection.
To further protect my Animation from unauthorised use I will:
- use the copyright symbol followed by my name and the year (year of creation) to let people know that my work is protected.
- keep records of the production of the animation including this presentation, the storyboard and the blog of my production.
- If I feel the need I will register my work at my nearest copyright office.
