Computers are used in all sectors of the digital industry. You need to know how to use software to be able to operate the software that is required by your job. Hardware knowledge doesn’t come up in every job but it is useful to know as it allows you fix common problems without needing to call the IT support team in every time because you don’t know how to press Ctrl Alt Delete or checking to see if a monitor is properly plugged in. Programming is featured in some areas of the digital industry but is not necessary to every jobs. Digital skills are not limited to just the digital sector as the use of IT equipment has increased dramatically in the last five years and now every industry requires you to know how to operate at least an office suite.
