Near the start of the year we looked at SMART targets and our goals to further our own careers

To complete my Level 2 IT	When I finish my course successfully at BPC	I am working through all my units with good results on completed coursework	Continuing with the self-discipline that I have been using to ensure I complete tasks in a timely manner	By the end of the academic year 27th June	I have submitted all of my assignments and am awaiting the marking
To be able to create my own website without extra support using Visual Studio Code, coding in HTML and CSS	When I am able to run my site without any obvious bugs or issues	I am still practicing building websites	Book/online learning Completing the part of my course focusing on web design	The end of the academic year so I can go fresh in to the next year	Yes I was able to create my coffee shop website with minimal support
To complete my game in unreal to meet the assignment goals	When I get my grades back on the unit	I am building the environment for my game to take place in	Sticking to targets and using some of my free time to work on the game	By the closing date of the assignment	I have completed my game and have submitted it for marking

My Career Progression goal near the beginning of the year:

I would like a part time or flexible job so I can work on freelance work on the side of my main job, ideally the main job would be in computer repair and maybe doing freelance work as a web designer. I would probably not do an apprenticeship as I feel the long week would overwhelm me. I would first have to complete my current course and then I would progress to a level 3 to develop my skills and gain a IT industry recognised qualification. I would then look for a part time job with the hope to be able to get some part time work as a website coder.

My Career Progression goal at the end of the year:

I would like to get onto and complete the Level 3 course that follows the Level 2 course I’m on so that I could get a better job in the digital industry or earn enough UCAS points to get on the Degree Course so I can become very desirable to an employer. I would also like to learn a new coding language over the summer holidays again to make myself more desirable to an employer.
