Today I wanted to practice what I have learnt in blender since the Unit 1 assignment, especially in regards to shading and texturing.
I started off trying to create a original creature that might look like a cephalopod or mollusc. I started with the idea of a gelatinous creature that would move along with tentacle like appendages. I was originally thinking it would be blue as it would most likely place it would be found but I tried to be more inventive and experimented with textures and found a molten glass look for it so I decided that I would be a clingy creature with a molten core keeping it alive but is cool enough on its skin to be touched and held.
With the second creature I wanted to make some form of lizard of currently unknown elemental affinity. I based it off a picture I found of a lizard on the internet mostly for reference. I then followed a tutorial for a procedural lizard skin and made him varying colours to give me some reference on what affinity it may have.
Next steps are to bake these textures and learn how to animate them
