Unit 5&6: Early Drafts of my Trailer

Version 1

This is the earliest draft of my trailer where I had simply cut down my footage and added music. There are many rough edges like the music cutting off and some shot transitions being poor and needing refinement. I also was missing parts off one piece of footage that I really wanted in the trailer. Despite this I feel I have a good starting point here to refine and adapt what we have here to a final trailer I am happy with.

Version 2

By this stage I had added some sound effect and attempted to transition music but I strongly feel the Five Years Later transition needs a lot of refinement or an overhaul. I think that the opening card appears too briefly not allowing for a proper read, I believe I did this of fear of the maximum 90 second limit on my trailer. Currently I am considering a alternative music to use for the latter part of the trailer but I will need to assess how the music fits and if it is suitable.

Version 3

In this third version I still have the first music transition still plaguing me, I have been recommended to find a way to crescendo the piece of music at the point of visual transition. I have swapped out the music in a latter part of the trailer to a different part of the earlier section’s music to try and create a more cohesive trailer that feel like a whole rather than just linked clips. Elements I still need to add are; sound effects for the swinging of weapons, a sound effect for the monster hitting the floor and a smashing sound effect for the Divine Pulse.
