Video Game Analysis 24.9/30:
High level of Game Overview concepts have been analysed in terms of Genre, Target Audience, Flow Summary, Look & Feel, Monetisation, and USP. Game Design Pillars or Gameplay Systems and Mechanics considerations have been explored to a good level. Great amount of Narrative has been analysed in terms of Story Structure and Characters. Excellent research has been presented on Levels. Interfaces have been evaluated to a high level in terms of User Interfaces, Input Controls, and Audio. A fair amount of additional research has been performed on further design considerations, for example playable essays, analogue games, etc. Good effort afforded to the presentation of analysis in terms of formatting, clarity, and illustrations.
Game Design Document 26.7/30:
Game Overview details have been described to a great standard in terms of Concept, Genre, Target Audience, Flow Summary, Look & Feel, Monetisation, and USP. Excellent level of communications of the Core Pillars of Design section. High level of Gameplay Systems & Mechanics have been discussed. Narrative has been depicted to a high level in terms of Background, Introduction, Story, Setting & Tone, Areas, and Characters. Great amount of Level design detail has been revealed. Interfaces have been detailed to a great level in terms of User Interfaces, Input Controls, and Audio. Great effort afforded to the Design Document Template in terms of formatting, clarity, and illustrations.
Video Pitch 20/20:
The video pitch length is no longer than 15 minutes, in accordance with the assessment conditions. High level of effort in communicating all the details of the video pitch criteria, including: Working Title, High Concept Tagline, Target Audience, Genre, Visual Direction, Gameplay, Narrative, Competitive Analysis, and Game Summary. There is an excellent value of professionalism that has been executed in relation to how the pitch has been crafted, recorded, and delivered.
Reflection 17/20:
Great level introductory post showing your experiences with video games, and self-evaluation outlining what you aim to get out of this module. A great milestone assessment has been performed as part of a mid-stage review reflecting on most of the weekly tasks and the individual game contributions so far. General reflection identified for your overall development journey is to a high level. Significant final reflective post looking back on your assignment as a whole.
